Once again, the Texas spoke was busy this past week. I want to encourage all Texas spoke subscribers to send me updates on any Christian Cycling activity you are involved in. That includes riding as well as anytime you are shining you light for Jesus. If you post on the Christian Cycling Facebook page or group page, I will harvest from that most of the time.
At the end of our last reporting period, Art and friends got together to say goodbye to our brother and friend, Sumit K Jain. The following is a copy/paste from his post:
From Art Garcesa (LIttle Elm)Our N. Dallas group had a farewell get together for Sumit K Jain. Thank you Manishi Tuli for hosting it.
We wish Sumit and his wife the best in their next chapter in Colorado. But we will definitely see them again for HH100 and other events next year.
We make lifelong friends in this ministry and praise the King for social media as life itself puts many miles between us. Prayers for a great anointing from God on your next chapter brother.
Also from Art - We are very blessed to receive a significant donation of road bike parts from Ben Watkins today. If anyone would like to donate your old and used bike parts, please let us know. We build complete road and mountain bikes for members and riders who need bikes as part of our ministry. Thank you very much Ben Watkins and God bless you!
Regifting bicycles to others is such a blessing. Art built my bike (Grace) and blessed me with it a month before the MS150 last year. This past reporting period I regifted two bicycles to some local teenagers. One was my grandson, who didn’t have a working bike anymore and the other was to Nemo, one of our newest members on social media and soon to be a subscriber also. Below is a phot of him with his bike and our Waco/Woodway area rep, Robert.
This week the North Dallas group did some rides together also. They had a Thursday night group ride and had a great time at Campion trails that evening.
I want to ride “the flats” with my Christian Cycling family but it will be during the daytime. LOL, no bugs please.
Autumn in Bonham ride. (From Art also)
We had an awesome time in the Autumn in Bonham 2023 ride earlier today. Joining me earlier were our brothers Fabian Broncano, Jim Boland, Thomas McMonigle, and our sisters Lupita Cortes &Bonnie Boland
Our setup was right on the start line, and we provided coffee and donuts to riders as well as water, Gatorade, ice, and energy cookies.
The hospitality minitry is in full force indeed! I praise God everytime a hospitality tent is setup becasue it touches so many people.
We even did the tricycle race that they had for kids. But couldn't move our legs after the long ride. Jim Boland got stuck on the tricycle so Fabian Broncano and I had to perform surgery to remove him from it lol.
Jim, I am only 62 and I am not sure if I would have tried that! I would have most likely needed to be surgically removed as well.
Our first harvest from LouAnn Campbell (Tyler)- Look who I found at my favorite Arkansas Trail! Northwoods Trails - Hot Springs Trail Conditions
When we are out riding, we often run into our friends. Many of us only get to fellowship with each other at ride events because we live so far apart. It’s a special thing when you get to “run into” a friend while on the trail.
Louann also got in some dirt therapy at the Montgomery Bell State Park.
From Deana and Dustin (Belton) - It was a beautiful day for a ride, short but sweet. We were talking during our ride about the beginning of this wellness journey and how 1 mile seemed exhausting. God has been blessing our health and fitness journey and 8 miles today feels like we are just getting warmed up. Stopped at 8 miles only because Dustin had pulled a muscle in his leg at work and it decided to aggravate him a little.
On the 8th, the duo did set another personal record by reaching the twenty miles! Congratulations you two!
I (Monty) on 6 October Got in a metric century day by riding to Storms in Hamilton and having lunch with the family and then riding back home.
If you have any questions about joining us, contact Monty or your closest subscribed member on the Texas Map.
