This reporting period, the Christian Cycling - Texas family is starting to wind down for the colder months ahead. BUT, the growth continues with Three new subscribers!
Alan Trammell joined us and received his welcome packet this week in the mail. On or about 3 November he was interviewed by the Gainesville Daily Register in reference to his results at the 2023 Psycho 48 this past October in North Carolina. Alan completed 319 miles in 24 hours! He finished in 8th place in the non-drafting group. You will also find Alan as the Gainsville Area representative on the Texas Map.
We also had a new subsriber from Graham Texas! Zina Mccrory received her welcome packet in the mail this week as well and was all smiles! Congratulations sister. We are looking forward to seeing what God is going to do through you.
On Saturday, the 4th of November in Denton, Texas, Art met up with folks for the Ride Ataxia. His summary follows:
Our North Texas Group had a great time in Ride Ataxia Dallas 2023. This is the 3rd year in a row for us to come out and support FARA Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) which is a national, public, 501(c)(3), non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to the pursuit of scientific research leading to treatments and a cure for Friedreich’s ataxia.
FARA's Mission is to marshal and focus the resources and relationships needed to cure FA by raising funds for research, promoting public awareness, and aligning scientists, patients, clinicians, government agencies, pharmaceutical companies and other organizations dedicated to curing FA and related diseases.
We feel very blessed to be able to come out and support this great cause.
Joining yesterday are our North Texas members Maria Alejandra Muñoz, Randall Davis, Fabian Broncano, Thomas Goes, Deepak Benjamin, and Victor Huertas.
It was also great to finally meet our group member Randall Davis who is an ultra endurance rider!
Well, that about wraps up this past week. Robert Gozalez (Waco) is on the mend and should be back in the saddle very soon. Jack Thompson has received good news from his physical thearapist and also could be back in the saddle in another week or so.
