This reporting period covers two weeks instead of the usual one week. The Texas spoke is setting up a hospitality booth at many events and when we don't, someone asks where we are at. That is awesome! The booth will be at Ride Ataxia and the Turkey Roll, both in November.
(From Monty on 25th of Oct) Howdy folks! I had the pleasure of meeting Derrick Daniels in person today. He is one of our latest subscribers and the Longview area leader. I was able to hand off the welcome packet with letter from National while breaking bread. We also visited the local bicycle shop while there. Welcome aboard brother!
Derrick Daniels - Longview Area representaive
From Dustin Palmer (North Dallas) I’m having the absolute worst start to a day I may have ever had… someone got into the back of my car last night and stole my bicycle out of it. I literally think I’m going to be sick. If spotted, please reach out and let me know… there won’t be many like it out there. Unfortunately, my bicycle was stolen out of my car somewhere between 9pm on Thursday and 5:45am on Friday morning. I’m not as angry about it as I probably should be but I am severely disappointed in the individual that thought they needed it more so than I did.
That all said, I could use some of peace of mind over the loss of my property. All of the information has been posted on social media and a police report has been filed with all of the identifying documentation… what happens next is in God’s hands.
As humans we have many needs in life but I know that ultimately we serve a mighty God. Prayers for peace and an easy resolution when dealing with my insurance company this coming week would greatly appreciated. I’m quite sure that me trying to replace a $6,500 bicycle through them isn’t going to prove to be an easy task.
Continued Prayers Brother!
From Monty 21 October - Don Vess and I returned from Salado so early, I decided to ride the 4th Annual Barrow Volks Bike Ride - Salado, Texas virtual. Whohoo! Was great to visit with Lisa from Sun Country Cycling. Got to shake hands with Bradley Johnston also. John A Banafoe met us and what a blessing! We have some more bike parts for the ministry.
Kudos from Mark Cook
Thank you, Christian Cycling - Texas! You’re presence was welcome. A special thanks to all with a special shout out to you know who. Art Garcesa and family. We have some adjustments to make and we will for next year.

From Monty - (21 October) after burning over 3,400 calories riding 53 miles, I get a surprise visit from Regena Whaley! Home made chocolate fudge with walnuts! It's on!!!! Thanks sister.
From Jim Boland - Trick-It-Up-Bike-Ride-FARMERSVILLE,TX 2023. (28th of October) A fun and very wet ride 25 mile with great friends. Thanks Coach Bonnie Boland for hanging through wet conditions. Half way through the ride.......I keep hearing a voice, something about building a boat. Thanks Art Garcesa , Monty Van Horn , Jack Carmicheal Thompson for coming to Farmersville to ride and share the message of Christian Cycling - Texas even through the rain.

(28 October) Trick-It-Up-Bike-Ride-FARMERSVILLE,TX is in the books! This morning Jack Carmicheal Thompson and I met Art Garcesa and Jim Boland near the Onion Shed. The rain was coming down pretty good. Bonnie Boland was staying warm and dry in the jeep while things were set up. Jack and I found a Valero nearby and who would know that they had a breakfast burrito to die for! Jim and Art rode in the rain with about twenty other riders while Jack and I stayed dry, serving hot coffee and donuts.
The Texas spoke continues to grow exponentially! We have three welcome packets to get out. Art plans on handing off one to Dustin Palmer very soon and another to Zina Mccrory on 4 November at Ride Ataxia. I am mailing one to Alan Trammell in Gainesville area in the next day or so. I am looking forward tp posting those pictures!
