Once again, the Texas spoke was busy this past week. I want to encourage all Texas spoke subscribers to send me updates on any Christian Cycling activity you are involved in. That includes riding as well as anytime you are shining you light for Jesus. You can do this by tagging me in your post, sharing via email, text, private message, etc....
From Jack (Gatesville) Jack squeezed in a few trips on the bike to work. He also picks the route that gives him a workout instead of the flattest possible route. Kudos to you brother for conditioning yourself for Jesus.
From Deana and Dustin (Belton): So excited, this was my longest single ride yet! Crushing fitness goals and feeling amazing. Can't wait for Texas to turn off the convection oven and give us some cold Temps, longer rides are definitely in the near future! Thank you, my amazing husband Dustin Connell, for going my pace. Conquered 2 hills I couldn't before! They went 16 miles a new personal record for Deana, Praise the King. Great job you two and looking forward to other updates like this!
From Art (Little Elm) Our group last night. I'm so proud of these guys. They are getting stronger and faster!
Art went on a few rides this week with the locals. He has also created and has updated the calendar because they will be doing 3 rides during the week from 6pm to 8pm at Irving's Campion trail. This is for folks who are new riders or returning riders that want to work on endurance and strength. They will start on Oct. 3 until the end of November.
Keep shining your lights folks! Bless ya'll
From Jim Boland (Farmersville) Jim stays busy on the nearby trails. He lives at the west end of the North East Texas Trail and takes advantage of those trails as well. He rode the Chapparl Trail among others this past week.
I am looking forward to meeting you in person brother, as well as your coach, Bonnie.
From Robert (Woodway/Waco) This was officially my longest ride in one day. 66 miles was tough but I’m getting stronger and able to go further. I am also down almost 60 pounds since March. I’m close to my goal weight. Another biker had a fund raiser going with HEB. She will be riding in the MS150 and another ride benefit for Alzheimer’s.
Great job brother! Looking forward to riding with you in the near future.
From Eddie (Melissa) Cadence SMR VA Route - What a beautiful day to ride. Temps in low 70s at start, not much wind. Doesn’t get much better than this for riding weather.
Eddie also stays busy on local rides weekly. I will meet you in God's speed my brother. Keep the rubber down.
As you can see, we have a few active members reporting in (or I am harvesting) on their weekly activities. We are a growing family and are always looking forward to our next ride together since we live so far apart. God created Saturdays so our Texas spoke family can come together for rides. LOL. In the next few weeks, we will be having a few of those get togethers. Stay tuned here and read about them.
If anyone is interested in joining us PLEASE follow the MEMBERSHIP drop down at the top of the page and then click JOIN. Make sure to select the Texas spoke. If you have any questions you can contact me. (Monty)
