Well it has been a little over a week since the last post..
That was an article on the Labor Day Coffee ride our brother, Eddie Anderson and friends participated in. Thanks again Eddie for the article. If you are in the Dallas area you can contact Eddie for more info on rides at [email protected]
On the 9th of September, I headed out for Meridian State Park. My wife, Tammy and son Ethan met me at the park. They pulled our bunkhouse with the car. It is a camper that is designed to be pulled behind a motorcycle, which I did for years. In fact, we pulled the bunkhouse thousands of miles behind our Harley, back in the day.
I spent about three and a half hours riding a total of 47 miles. It would have been shorter, but I realized I was just a couple miles out of the way from one of my favorite places to visit. The Rock Church.
Tammy and Ethan timed it to where they had reached the park within a few minutes of my arrival time. They were just getting started on setting up camp as I checked in.
It was a relaxing afternoon and praise God for the cool breeze in the evening! It was still hot enough that we were grateful for the little air conditioner that made sleeping much easier.
In the morning, we broke camp instead of having breakfast. I love breakfast but didn’t want to ride in the hottest part of the day so hit the rode early. It was a 40 mile ride back home and I made it home in three hours, well before the hottest part of the day. You can view additional pictures of the trip right here.
I pray that this article/blog post finds ya’ll overwhelmed in the Lord’s blessings. Feel free to share your adventures when out on your bike. hether is is a race, road trip, recreational ride, whatever, just drop me an email at [email protected] and I would be glad to post it.
