The Christian Cycling - Texas had representation at the MS150 this year. Art Garcesa and Thomas Goes from the North Dallas area met with Monty Van Horn on the 28th of April in Gatesville Texas. Tammy Van Horn drove the crew to Austin so they could pick up their packets and check into the hotel. The crew had some great fellowship while breaking bread during the storms. The 29th of April started at 0400 hours! The team checked in their luggage and enjoyed the free Starbucks coffee. At 0645 the ride began! The volunteers did a great job, especially shuttling so many bikers around the flooded portion of the ride. It took forever but for a last minute change, they did a good job. The free supper was really good. The 30th of April also started at 0400 hours and the ride was much more enjoyable with the wind shifting in favor of the bikers. Tammy and Ethan was at the finish line to video the small team finishing the 140 plus miles. They enjoyed checking out the vendors and made sure to visit the HEB booth to get their free cookies plus much more. Then the folks broke bread, again a free meal, BBQ brisket was one choice. The most challenging moment of the day was getting all the luggage to the truck. LOL.
