27 July 2026 - Jonathan Coen - Today 3 years ago and over 17,000 miles later, my cycling journey began. What a journey it's been. The people i've met, the time spent on the road. the camaraderie, the sweat, accomplishments, defeats, memories, early mornings, beers, food and of course the memories will never be forgotten. Pretty great bunch of people with one similar interest, Cycling.. I look forward to many more of the same.
26 July 2026 - Art Garcesa - We had a blessed day yesterday at White Rock Lake. We started our HH100 heat acclimation training.
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our brother Daniel Akers for his first 100K (62miles)! We set up our tents and provided water, Gatorade, and food for all. Taco Cabana Breakfast Tacos by David Bridgewater. Sorry i did not get pictures with everryone. Big thanks to Kurtis Register and our brothers and sisters at NTC for all the help and support. We are very blessed.
25 July 2026 - Jeff Postell - This morning’s ride started out just about perfect. We enjoyed cool temperatures and overcast skies for most of the ride. Then, out of nowhere, the sun showed up like it was mad at somebody and turned the oven on!
With about 15 miles to go, I ask Leo Angorin and politely requested another pit stop. Being the good man he is, he obliged. That last break was exactly what this old engine needed to barely make it across the finish line. We knocked out 91 miles with over 2,400 feet of climbing, and while the heat tried its best to win, it didn’t. As I always say, everyone made it back safe, so it was a great ride. God is good, life is good, and now it’s time for a shower and maybe a nap!
25 July 2026 - Monty Van Horn - This morning started at 0500 with a cup of coffee. By 0615 Tammy Estes Van Horn and I were at the Tour de Gap event. I visited with the local hams and Tammy checked out the portable tower they had. Pretty cool indeed. Lonnie Sutton and Kathy Sutton arrived and we visited with the hams and also Brenda with Hardin-Simmons Cycling. We were lined up and ready for the 50K ride by 0730. They had a fly over which was really cool. Tammy did a couple videos of us at the starting line and as we started on the ride. While we were on the ride, Tammy walked around and checked out the Buffalo Gap Historic Village and took a few pictures. She was at the finish line and got all three of us finishing the ride. Kathy did a great job leading the way and it was her second fastest 50K ever! We sat at the award stage and ate the food they provided. Looking forward to doing this event again next year.
19 July 2026 - Art Garcesa - This is proof that we do not know what we are doing without our coach Bonnie Boland. Notice our ring leader in the center asking me to call coach on what to do after I was kicked me out of the shade.
18 July 2026 - Blake Williams - 3rd Saturday Social. We had another great time today on our ride. It was a beautiful day with a little breeze. Our next ride will be 8/15/26. I hope everyone had a good time and look forward to seeing everyone next time.

18 July 2026 - Art Garcesa - Tour de Paris: Paris, TX
We had a blessed time seeing our friends and riding at theq Tour de Paris earlier today. We set up our tent with North Texas Cycling and set off on a gorgeous morning. It heated up but everyone pressed on. This ride is also one of our favorites and it did not disappoint. Big thanks to the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce team and the army of volunteers. I'm sorry I did not get a chance to get pics with everyone! We are very blessed
16 July 2026 - Art Garcesa - I had a blessed evening meeting with Allen Oliver and his brothers Ryan & Micah. I delivered 2 bikes for Ryan's sons who will be doing their first HH100. I would like to thank Sam Peck for the Bianchi Giro. This was the first bike that Sam used to ride 100miles in HH100 several years back. Now, it will be use for another first 100mile in HH100. I would also like to thank Jeremy Hayes for the Cannondale Synapse. Both of these bikes are awesome bikes and ride ready.
16 July 2026 - Jim Boland - Christian Cycling-Texas given our support to Merit, Texas on The Chaparral Trail.
Chaparral Trail is part of the 130 mile, North East Texas Trail. Supervisor was our National Treasurer, Coach Bonnie Boland . Her big question was, "Are there chiggers here?"

11 July 2026 - Jeff Postell - This morning’s ride was a different version of HHH… Humid. Hot. and Hilly!We rode out to DFW Airport and watched a few birds land. 85.9 miles and 2,326 feet of climbing made for a tough day in the saddle. The hills won a few battles, but we all won the war by making it back safely. Now it’s time to rehydrate, recover… and wonder whose idea this ride was! Grateful for another great ride with friends
11 July 2026 - Jim Boland - The Shawnee Trail Cycling Club members traveled to Farmersville this morning to ride the Chaparral Trail on the NETT. Great time with this group on the trail from Farmersville to Celeste and return back to The Onion Shed.

11 July 2026 - Jim Boland - On Chaparral Trail ride with Shawnee Trail Cycling Club, the young man Christian Cycling-Texas, donated a bike was at the Celeste Convenience Store. Said he loves his new bike and rides the Chaparral Trail on the NETT now.

3 July 2026 - Mike Rodgriguez - Going cycling today? Tomorrow? This 4th of July weekend? Pray in the name of Jesus by the anointing of the Holy Ghost to God the Father for security and protection. Use Psalms 91.
TESTIMONY:
I was off work yesterday and went out for a ride early in the morning because it’s cool. Where’s all my TX cyclists and Christian Cycling - Texas who can testify to the morning coolness? Before I split from the house my wife Michelle Strieff-Rodriguez yelled out from the other room, “Security and protection over you in the name of Jesus.” I was geared up and ready to keep the rubber side down like Pastor Monty Van Horn always says. But, in that split moment I was like, “Man, I’m off work and Praise God no matter the temp, I’ve got all day to ride, what’s the rush?”
So, I sat at my kitchen table, cracked open my Bible, boldly declared Psalms 91, and entered into the presence of the Lord. God gets all the praise, glory, and honor. Also, got 2 give it up 2 my Pastor Evangelist David King - Harvest Ministries International at Revival City Church who’s right off the Trinity Trail where Bellaire and Southwest Blvd are in the Mont-Del Plaza. He’s always praying Psalms 91 over me and the rest of my church fam and exhorts us to speak the Word of God over ourselves.
That being said, I got out and pedaled. I was heading north bound on the sidewalk of Old Decatur Rd. About the time I got in front of the Enclave at Parkview apartment complex, I saw a white Honda CRV leaving the main entrance. I waved the driver down to get her attention, was wearing ALL my safety gear, helmet, lights, reflective vest, etc.
Nonetheless, I got hit by this moving vehicle. At that moment, despite the need to take care of all the natural administrative duties, exchange info, contact authorities, etc., which no doubt was handled.
I recollected the split moment my wife declared, “Security and protection over you in the name of Jesus.” Along with Pastor David’s effectual fervent prayer of Psalms 91 as a righteous man of God. Lastly, the obedience to say, “Yes, I will pray Psalms 91 over myself with a full heart of faith in God.” Then, actually do it.
Praise God! Later that day, my wife drove me to the hospital to get checked out. They did a CT scan from head to toe. The doc said, “Well, there’s nothing missing and nothing broken.” I was like, Praise God, I’m good to ride. Doc said, “Yep, I would, the sooner the better. You’re good to get outta here.” As we were leaving the hospital, my wife and I shouted and gave God glory for confirming His Word with signs and miracles following according to Mark 16:20. The confirming Word is in Psalms 34:20, The Lord keeps all his bones: Not one of them is broken.
PSALMS 91
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold And see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, Even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
