The Van Horn's had breakfast at the hotel the morning of the event and then arrived at the East Texas Sonar to get their bikes ready. Ethan and Monty was joined by John, Monty's nephew. John was riding on Pete's E-trike. Art Garcesa was waving Monty down as him and Ethan rode into the parking area. It was a big blessing to finally get to meet him as well as Forrest Wonderly and Ryan Hochdorf. Art is the North Dallas Area Representative for Christian Cycling - Texas and we talked about upcoming events and ways to help the Texas Spoke grow. Before taking off Gina Nation and my grandchildren, R.J. VanHorn and Angela Nation arrived to see us off! Another blessing indeed! The ride was awesome and the support was out of this world! Art and Monty had a chance to pray with a county deputy, Sgt. Bell, at one of the SAG stations. The event was put on by some great people and at the end, the food was awesome! This is an event to go back to again!
