On the 31 October, from Art Garcesa: This event was not on the calendar but is equally fun. Trunk or Treat at CrossRidge Church in Little Elm TX. We had over 2,000 pieces of candy and ran out but the church gave us more (YES, I ate some) Always great to be church family!

On 25 October from Jim Boland: A big thank you to all who came to help and ride the Farmersville Chamber of Commerce annual Trick-It-Up Bike Ride. Christian Cycling-Texas, in addition to assisting in planning the ride, placing signage. took over 2 of the rest stops and drove sag, worked our information tent to help make this a tremendous success. Bless each of you and thank you again.

The Lord blessed the riders with an awesome day for riding.

On 15 October from Allen Moyer: Is there a daily devotional from a cyclist perspective? If you are a hunter there is “Tales from the Deer Stand”. I was just wondering if anything like this for cyclist.
Asking because I have been asked to give a short 15 minute devotional at a tandem rally we will be attending. I have something in mind because we will have many Christian tandem teams but also many non believers and they are the ones I hope the Holy Spirit will touch. Would like to tie cycling into it just to make it more relative to some.
And though I do and know you should gather and worship in the house of the Lord, I also believe if you find yourself out riding on a Sunday morning that “it is better to be out riding your bike and thinking about God that you be sitting in Church thinking about riding your bike”.
Blessings to all.

On the 11th of October from Jim Boland: Took a break from cycling to do some community service along with Coach Bonnie Boland as we helped repaint the gym equipment at South Lake Park, Farmersville, TX.  Shared the story of Christian Cycling-Texas and met 2 new mountain bike enthusiasts. Service to the local community is another way to encourage membership.

On the 7th of October from Jack Thompson: Wow what a day Saturday was! The Paluxy Pedal in Glen Rose, my first time at this ride. Invited Damiane White (pictured with me at The Christaincycling easy up) to come. He is a prospect and hoping my Brother decides to join!! The day started cool with our 730 arrival. We quickly set up the easy up and checked in. We did a little visiting, picture taking and ride prep. Before we knew it we were off on our 38 mile ride. This was Damiane's very first organized ride!! Let me tell you, I was beyond impressed!! 38 miles of Texas back roads with 1600 ft in elevation. He road an old Road Master wal mart special mountain bike with only the high gears working properly. Standing up and pedaling up the inclines!! He finished all 38 miles with only stopping at the 24 mile rest stop for a few minutes. We ate some pizza after finishing. Was a very blessed day!!

On the 14th of September from Jim Boland:  Due to events of the last few days, and because of the hatred that I have seen and even heard I was feeling down. But thanks to a group of young men from Scout Troop 1914 my week changed. I got to spend the day with this Troop as they helped complete an Eagle Scout Project for Daniel. Their laughter and joy of togetherness had me smiling all day. But especially reminded me that there is good in our country if we stop listening to the News and Facebook. Thank you to these you men and their parents and more important then the awesome protect that you all completed, Thank you all for restoring my hope on our great country. God Bless you all.

On 12 September from Jim Boland: The world is full of God's goodness. Our task is to see it shining through the hate and anger.
I struggle at times myself to see it. Already this morning, there have been Facebook posts that show in a few short hours, many already forgot what we were remembering yesterday. Some of us started a new day with discouragement, frustration, hate and anger. We should allow that goodness to possess us not the evil. We should treasure that goodness and then share it with others.
So easy to stop the hate. One day for each of us there won't be another chance. Why not share the goodness today. (Good words brother)
